4.5.1.1 Accessing information about a workspace member

The members’ page of a workspace lets you access the personal details that each member of the workspace might have provided about herself. Entries of the form

user-name (full-name [, organization])

indicate that such information may be available, while entries of the form

user-name <email-address>

indicate that no personal information has been made available.

  • Click a user name to display the associated personal info page. It contains most of the information entered by this workspace member using  Options    Profile    Change  (see 2.4).
  • Choose action menu   Contact  in the member’s action menu to display the ‘Contact’ page. It contains most of the information entered by this workspace member using  Options    Profile    Communication  (see 2.4).
  • Note:
If this member has indicated that she has a computer conferencing system installed that you also use, the call button is displayed in the ‘Contact’ page.
    • Click call to have BSCW start the corresponding computer conferencing program on your computer and set up a connection to the other member — provided that she is currently running the computer conferencing program.
  • Click the name of a BSCW group to bring up the members’ page of this group.
  • Choose action menu   vCard  to store a member entry as vCard file (*.vcf) on your local computer.
