In order to protect your information stored on the BSCW server, choose a sufficiently secure password and change it regularly.

Section 2.6 describes how to change your password. Section 2.7 tells you how to enter a new BSCW password if you have forgotten your old one and cannot access your BSCW workspaces and folders any more.

For security reasons concerning your local computer system, you should not use the same password for BSCW as for your local computer.

Important:

BSCW distinguishes between upper and lower case in user names and passwords.
