Before starting to use BSCW, you have to register as a user of a BSCW server. After a simple authentication procedure (see 4.1) you are ‘known’ to the BSCW server as a registered user. Basically, you are identified by a combination of your

user name,
password and
email address.

Using your user name and password, you can access your folders and workspaces from any computer with Internet access and a suitable Web browser.
