Editing of documents stored in BSCW is usually done by downloading the document, editing the document on your local computer and uploading it afterwards. Certain types of documents, however, may be edited directly on your BSCW server without the transfer to and from your local computer:

text documents,
MS Office files if you are using Internet Explorer on Windows and
HTML documents.

In all three cases, select Edit in the action menu of the document to start editing the document directly on the BSCW server.
