6.4 Viewing and exporting poll results
By default, the creator of a poll and the manager of the workspace containing the poll may view the current results of a poll by
- choosing
from the
action menu of the poll.
This will show a graphical representation of the current
state of the responses to the poll.
If a poll is configured accordingly, also the voters may view the poll results by clicking on the poll entry in the folder listing or by opening the poll object via the action menu. If a voter has already voted, this will show the poll results. If a voter has not yet voted and is entitled to view the current poll results, opening the poll will present the voting form; scrolling down and clicking on the link ‘Show votes up to now...’ at the end of the questionnaire will present the results.
In addition to view the poll results in a graphical representation, you may also export the results as a semicolon-separated file in the .csv file format. This allows you to store the results for further processing with an appropriate application, e.g. Microsoft Excel.
The results for each question may be exported in aggregated form. If the poll has been configured accordingly by activating the option ‘Store responses one by one’, also the individual responses to questions may be exported.
- Choose
in the action menu of a poll to store the result file (in
.csv format) on your local computer or to open it with an
appropriate application. Responses to each question will
be listed in aggregated form. - Choose
in the action menu of a poll to store the result file (in
.csv format) on your local computer or to open it with an
appropriate application. Responses to each question will
be listed individually along with a voting time stamp.
- Note:
- This action is only available, if individual responses have been stored via activation of the ‘Store responses one by one’ option. When this option is switched on and off via poll editing, only responses that were made when the option was in fact activated will be stored individually and hence only such responses can be exported by this action.
