4.9.2 Adding a note
You may add a note to a discussion as a reply to an existing note — this is treated in 4.9.3 — and as a note on its own that is not referring to any other note.
- Select inside a discussion folder, or
- select
in the action menu of a discussion, to bring up the ‘Add
Note’ form. - Choose the type most appropriate for the contents of the note that you are about to create (for the diverse types see 4.9).
- Enter the text of your note into the ‘Message’ field. If you enclose your text with the HTML tags <P> and </P>, HTML tags in the text will be interpreted by the browser (Example: <P> <b>bold text</b> </P> will result in bold text).
- Enter the gist of your note in the ‘Subject’ field.
As its author you may modify a note, even after replies have been made:
- Select
to bring up the ‘Edit Note’ form
that lets you change type, subject and message of the note.
