3.2.2 Document under version control

Version control is a powerful tool that helps you avoid erroneously modifying or deleting a document which is, e.g., authored by a number of people and is undergoing a number of revisions.
Version control also guarantees that only the most recent version is used when the document is read or copied (see 4.8 for more details).
