Hello Gurus,

because of licenses and incompatibilities with ssh1 and ssh2
we are on the way to use openssh...

That is working fine with the world and between our unix-machines.

Then when i try to connect from a PC (NT/ssh-2.4.0-pl2) to a sun
i see on the sun-console this error:

May 31 11:09:46 SUN sshd[11674]: fatal: no hostkey alg

What happens is, that the pc-ssh did not ask for a password
any more for the remote uid and thus states about an incorrect
password and a failed authentication.

I have the idea that somewhere on the pc are stored what is
under unix /etc/ssh/ssh_known_hosts and that these are outdated.
I can't find such nown hosts...

So, where can i find a more detailed explanation of the above
error message?

With regards,

Bernt Christandl (beb@mpa-garching.mpg.de)
