2.3 Choosing the user interface language

The BSCW interface language is a personal, user-defined option. It only affects your view of the information presented. You may select a different language for the user interface at any time by adjusting your preferred language in your browser,
e.g. in Microsoft Internet Explorer: select "Tools" > "Internet Options..." > "Languages..."
and then select your preferred language. In case the shown selection does not contain your preferred language use the [Add]-button to select another language. Move it to the top of the list by using [Move Up] or [Move Down] for your selected language. You may also specify the interface language through  options    preferences   .

If you prefer a different language, you should change the interface language in your browser right before starting a BSCW session for the next time. Changing the language during a session you may not see the chosen language at once. In this case you need to terminate the session by closing all browser windows and start BSCW again. Now the language is adapted.

If you choose German, the online help is in German, too. At the moment, all other languages are combined with an online help in English.

Before you now start to use BSCW, it is a good idea to fill in your personal info page (see 2.4).
