Sami Khuri

Sami Khuri holds a PhD. in Computer Science from Syracuse University, NY, USA. He is a Professor of Computer Science at San Jose State University, and will be visiting the Computer Science Department at the Helsinki University of Technology, Finland, in the summer of 2002.

He is the recipient of several awards, including the Fulbright, the Dana Research, and the DAAD.

Sami Khuri's research interests center around the design and analysis of algorithms, genetic algorithms, visualization and algorithm animation.

He is the author of a number of publications on applications of genetic algorithms. He has also published on theoretical issues involving genetic algorithms, including an invited chapter in the Handbook of Evolutionary Computation. He has also given tutorials on data compression and genetic algorithms at international conferences.
